In a crowded field of Republicans hoping to be Missouri’s next Third District Congressman, a public advocate says that he’s the most qualified for the job. Arnie Dienoff of O’Fallon touted his involvement in government at the local, county, and state levels.

“I stand up against corruption, against fraud, against misspending of our taxpayer dollars,” he told Missourinet. “I testify on almost every bill at the state House. I crush bad bills that are bad for Missourians, bad for Missouri families, and bad for children.”

He explained why he’s running for higher office.

“A lot of special interest money for a job that pays $172,000 annual salary,” Dienoff said. “It shouldn’t be about special interests and PACs. It shouldn’t be about greed, money, access, control, power, nor personal gain. It should be about putting the people of the Missouri Third Congressional District first.”

Dienoff has unsuccessfully run for several higher offices for years, including for State Auditor, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, state Representative, and for local school board in St. Charles County.

His Republican opponents include Bob Onder, Kurt Schaefer, Bruce Bowman, Kyle Bone, and Chad Bicknell. Two Democrats are running for the Third District seat: Bethany Mann and Andrew Daly. Jordan Rowden is the Libertarian Party nominee.

Polls close statewide at 7 p.m.

Beginning at 7:30 p.m., Missourinet will have reports about election night results at the top and bottom of the hour on Missourinet.com.
