Carl Edwards, a Columbia native named one of the top 75 NASCAR drivers of all time and a soon-to-be inductee into the NASCAR Hall of Fame, shocked fans by retiring seven years ago. At the top of his game and in the prime of his career, Edwards almost won the Cup title in 2016. He controlled the winner-take-all race at Homestead-Miami Speedway until a questionable caution was called.

Those who debated his induction into the Hall of Fame said Edwards was unfairly treated. Did the end of 2016 affect his decision to walk away? Did he feel cheated?  Carl recently answered those questions.
