Drought conditions continue to retreat in Missouri due to continued rain.
The latest drought monitor map shows a slight improvement from last week, as 88.2% of Missouri no longer has any type of drought, compared to last week’s 82.02%.
Southeastern and south-central Missouri are the only parts of the state experiencing any sort of drought conditions, and rainfall there within the past week has shrunk the size of drought-impacted areas.
Exactly one month ago, nearly three-fourths of Missouri was gripped by drought.
