Parkville Republican talks property tax credit for seniors over 62 (LISTEN)

The General Assembly is taking a look at a bill that authorizes Missouri counties to freeze property tax increases for seniors over the age of 62. The bill that originally passed the legislature and was signed into law by the governor last year unintentionally left out certain professions who do not receive Social Security. Teachers and firefighters are two examples.
