Pacific, Mo. preserves the history of a famous Route 66 restaurant (LISTEN)

Ryan Lowry from Pacific, Mo joins us to talk about the recent preservation and adaptive reuse of the historic Red Cedar Inn, a restaurant along Route 66 from the 1930s to 2005. The town has converted it into a museum and tourism attraction for travelers along route 66. It’s a fabulous project that has preserved an important piece of the region’s history and also helps the town by giving it a new tourism draw. They’re seeing visitors from all over – including some international visitors.
