The mad rush will soon be here as some Missourians wake up super early and take advantage of Black Friday doorbuster deals. The same is true for Branson’s Tanger Outlets, according to General Manager Jamie Whiteis.

“We’ve got 75-plus retail partners that are here for you for all your shopping needs,” he said. “We can cover the entire family. We’ve got apparel, athletic wear, shoes, jewelry, there’s a little bit of everything here. We’re just expecting a great holiday season and with Black Friday, it’ll kick off. We’ll open at 6:00 a.m.”

Whiteis expects a big turnout, but admits that Black Friday has changed over the years.

“Oh yeah, it’s definitely changed and we’re kind of back, you know, there was a time where we focused on maybe a little early Thanksgiving openings in some places, but now we’re strictly back to the old way where we used to do it years ago, just open on Black Friday on those extended hours for the shoppers,” said Whiteis.

Despite the differences in Black Fridays of years past, Whiteis said walking into a store at 6:00 a.m. the morning after Thanksgiving is just as important.

“There’s still a lot of people that like to be able to touch and feel what they’re buying and so we’ve got several different great retail partners here,” he said. “Some of their deepest discounts of the year will be on Friday. There’ll even be some exclusive doorbuster offers from 6:00 a.m. to noon.”

Small Business Saturday is also this Saturday.

“Shop local, I mean, that’s the whole thing that weekend,” said Whiteis. “Not only in Branson do we have our locals that we’re proud to have come shop with us, but also the tourists that come here for the different attractions in Branson. We want to be here for them, too.”

Branson also has millions of Christmas lights or a nearby festival to get you into the holiday spirit this time of year.
