Today is the one-year anniversary of a shooting at a St. Louis high school that left a student and teacher dead.
To remember the tragedy, classes were canceled yesterday and today at Central Visual and Performing Arts High School where the shooting took place.
A former student forced his way into the school building on October 24th, 2022, and shot several people before responding police officers killed him. Alexzandria Bell, 15, and Jean Kuczka, 61, died that day.
The school district also declared it a “day of remembrance” and has made grief counselors available to students this week.
