The Missouri Department of Transportation just conducted its annual winter weather drill to prepare for the snowy weather ahead.

However, this year, the department heads into winter understaffed by 30% for qualified plow drivers. This can severely affect snow clearance in the case of storms that last more than 12 hours.

Cameron Conner interviewed Chief Operations and Safety Officer Becky Allmeroth about the preparation and challenges. (LISTEN 08:51)
