Details are being revealed about the planned Major League Soccer stadium in St. Louis. The Post Dispatch reports the proposed 250-million-dollar stadium would be built near 20th and Market streets, with practice fields and other team facilities across the street. The stadium would seat just over 22-thousand fans and would be owned by the MLS ownership. The ownership group hopes to break ground by next spring in order to open the stadium in time for the first game in March 2022.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the MLS ownership group plans to retain private ownership of the stadium, taking responsibility for its upkeep and maintenance and paying some property taxes
