Woodland leads, Woods able to “grind out a score,” in Thursday’s PGA Championship

The 100th PGA Championship at Bellerive Country Club has former Kansas Jayhawk Gary Woodland starting Friday in the lead with his 6-under 64, one ahead of Rickie Fowler’s 65.  Only 31 golfers shot 2-under or better.  Among the group at even par are Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy and defending PGA Champ Justin Thomas (-1).
