Mid-Missouri man threatens violence against government for a second time

Police say a man from mid-Missouri’s Ashland made a second terrorist threat in recent weeks against the government.

The Columbia Daily Tribune reports Jeffery O’Laughlin called U.S. Rep. Vicky Hartzler’s office in Columbia on Wednesday and threatened to “use gun powder and put some people in the grave”.

O’Laughlin is charged with making a terrorist threat, a crime he was charged with last month after allegedly pledging to kill people at the Missouri Supreme Court or at a dentist’s office using explosives or an AR-15.

The Daily Tribune reports O’Laughlin told police he has a bio-mechanical transmitter in his tooth filling and wanted Hartzler’s office to acknowledge it. He had allegedly made comments about dentists plotting to track his movements in connection with the December case.
