Top Stories: A 23-year-old Kansas City man faces first-degree murder charges in connection to the shooting of a woman he shared custody of a two-year-old over.  KCTV reports Joseph Gonsalez is also charged with armed criminal action and endangering the welfare of a child after he allegedly killed Elizabeth Richards last Saturday.  And state lawmakers may not be facing a budget crisis predicted earlier resulting from the tax package passed by Congress. The new law doubles the standard deduction for people who don’t itemize their tax returns. The same deduction in Missouri is tied to the federal rate by law, and the increase was projected by to cost the state up to $1 billion. Missouri House Budget Chairman Scott Fitzpatrick says the final package passed by Congress mostly eliminated the gap
