Mizzou Women’s Basketball (13-2, 1-1) has their longest win streak snapped by LSU (10-3, 2-0), 69-65, Thursday night at Mizzou Arena.

Sophomore Amber Smith poured in a career-high 27 points while redshirt senior Jordan Frericks notched her second double-double of the season with 19 points and 15 rebounds.

LSU, which came in with just 30 made 3-pointers on the season, sunk six triples, including four in a 25-point second quarter that gave the LSU an 11-point halftime advantage.

Mizzou cut the deficit to two on four different occasions in the final four minutes, but could not complete the comeback.

The loss snaps a 13-game winning streak for Mizzou, which matched the longest winning streak in program history.

Junior guard Sophie Cunningham was sidelined with a right knee injury. She is considered day-to-day.
