Teens plead guilty in kitten abuse case that goes viral on Facebook

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Two Branson teens accused of torturing a kitten and posting the video to Facebook have entered guilty pleas. According to a news release from the Taney County prosecutor, 18-year-old Kyle Williams pled guilty to felonies of animal abuse and armed criminal action and 19-year-old Jordan Hall pled guilty to animal abuse. Williams originally pled not guilty.

On June 1, Williams posted a video of him dragging a kitten behind a vehicle on Facebook while he tried to “get his audience to buy him pizza,” according to the release.

Hall pled guilty in exchange for the dropping of an armed criminal action charge. He is out on bond. Williams is in custody while he awaits sentencing in March.

Williams and Hall could face up to four years for animal abuse and/or a fine not more than $10,000. Williams also faces a minimum of three years for the armed criminal action charge.
