As Mizzou prepared for their Texas Bowl, I joked with freshman running back Larry Rountree and asked him if he felt he and Damarea Crockett could be the next Nick Chubb/Sony Michel tandem of the SEC. He chuckled and gave a very diplomatic answer (which you’ll hear on the podcast below).
Chubb and Michel became the best college football rushing tandem. I’ll tell you what Rountree (Sophomore to be) and Crockett (Junior to be) would have to average per game if they wanted to pass the Georgia duo.
I thought OU got conservative with their play calling in OT. Baker Mayfield finished one TD behind Drew Lock for the nation’s leader. I’ll share an update on Lock’s draft stock.
