Will NFL teams still come calling for Drew Lock even if the advisory committee told him to return for his senior season? (photo/Mizzou Athletics)

The NFL’s Draft Advisory Council suggested to Mizzou quarterback Drew Lock that he return to school for his senior season rather than enter the NFL Draft.  Lock says he’s not sure that’s the best course of action.

Why would this be the case?  If the NFL is telling Drew he won’t be a first or second round pick, why wouldn’t he wait another year to move up, increase his draft stock and sign a better NFL deal with better money in 2019?  It’s not that simple and I’ll explain.

My prediction for the Texas Bowl.  I’ll be honest I’m concerned with Joe Jon Finley calling plays. I’m also concerned about the long layoff for the offense, but with Texas having three of their top players sitting out as they look ahead to their future in the NFL, I think the Tigers will finally beat a team with at least a .500 record for the first time this season.

I’ll tell you how I see it playing out.

Thanks for listening.
