Missouri man convicted of murder in feud with farmer about herbicide

A Mississippi County, Arkansas Circuit Court jury has convicted Allan Curtis Jones, of southeast Missouri’s Arbyrd of second degree murder in the shooting death of Mike Wallace. Wallace, of Leachville, Arkansas, accused Jones of applying a weed killer to crops which Wallace said drifted onto his land and damaged his crops.

Last year, Jones admitted to shooting Wallace seven times after Wallace accused Jones of using dicamba and damaging his pear trees along the Missouri-Arkansas border.

Jones has been sentenced to 24 years in prison after a jury convicted him with killing Wallace.
