The Missouri Tigers, winners of their final six-games of the season, have accepted a bid to play the Texas Longhorns in the Houston Bowl on December 27th at 8 pm. The Tigers finished Barry Odom’s second season with a 7-5 record.

“We are excited about playing in Houston, an area which we recruit,” said Athletic Director Jim Sterk.  “We look forward to Mizzou fans turning out to cheer on the Tigers against Texas.”

Mizzou and Texas will be meeting for the 24th time, with Texas holding a 17-6 advantage in the series. The Tigers won the last meeting in 2011.

Mizzou last played in the Texas Bowl in 2009 and lost to Navy 35-13.
