The Blues fell behind 3-0 early into the second period and came up just short in a 3-2 loss to the Anaheim Ducks at Scottrade Center.  Kyle Brodziak scored twice late in the third period.  Antoine Vermette had two goals and Kevin Roy also scored for the Ducks.

Anaheim goalie John Gibson was 3:48 away from a shutout when he ended up allowing two goals to Brodziak, the second one coming with :17 remaining.  Blues goalie Jake Allen made 27 saves and lost to the Ducks for the first time in six career starts at home.

Roy and Vermette each had power-play goals in a span of 2:28 early in the second for a 3-0 cushion.  Blues coach Mike Yeo says his team isn’t focused.

The Blues finish their five-game homestand tomorrow against the Kings.
