Missourinet 7 a.m. News 11-23-2017

November 23, 2017 By Jason Taylor

Top Stories:  Police officers and fire fighters from all over the St. Louis area went head to head in 3-rounds of boxing matches yesterday.  They took part in the 31st Budweiser Guns n’ Hoses to raise money for families who lost their loved ones in the line of duty.  The annual event takes place the night before Thanksgiving.  And Missouri residents are set vote on whether to keep or sack Missouri’s new right to work law.  Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft announced yesterday that he’s certified a ballot measure for next November’s election, unless state lawmakers assign it to a different date.  The law allows employees to opt out of joining unions in work places where the organizations bargain for their pay and benefits.
