Providence shot 62 percent from the field and made nine of 10 3-point attempts in a 90-63 win over Saint Louis Friday night at Madison Square Garden in the championship game of the 2K Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project.

It was the first loss of the year for the Billikens, who fall to 3-1. Providence improves to 3-1.

Javon Bess, who was named the All-Tournament Team, led the Billikens with 16 points thanks in part to 8-of-9 shooting from the charity stripe. Davell Roby added 14 points thanks to three 3-pointers and a 5-of-6 effort from the line.

The Billikens are home for their next two games. Wednesday against Detroit Mercy and the following Tuesday against Western Michigan.
