Freshman forwards Jeremiah Tilmon and Jontay Porter dealt with early foul trouble and it was a rough night shooting for the Missouri Tigers, who lost 77-59 at Utah on Thursday night.  It was the second game in a row Mizzou was without their prized prospect Michael Porter Jr who stayed back in Columbia nursing a lower body injury.

The Tigers started the game shooting just 1-for-14, but found themselves only trailing by four at 16-12 with just under five minutes to play when Porter joined Tilmon on the bench with two fouls each.  From that point on, Utah finished the half on a 19-7 run to grab control of the game.

Mizzou shot just 33% for the game, including 5-of-27 from three point range.  The starting lineup of Barnett, Puryear, Robertson, VanLeer and Tilmon shot just 8-of-30 from the floor.

Missouri’s last true road victory came in January of 2014.  At 2-1, the Tigers will be back home on Monday night at 7 pm against Division II opponent Emporia State.
