The Bill Pollock Show–#Mizzou players excited that basketball season finally here. Philllie Phanatic talks about Sluggerrr’s rocky past with the #Royals (PODCAST)

November 10, 2017 By Bill Pollock

I would really like for you to hear from Michael Porter Jr. but Mizzou basketball did not make him available on the eve of the most anticipated season open for Tigers basketball in years.  So instead we’ll hear from players like Kevin Puryear and Jordan Barnett.

Sluggerrr, the Royals mascot, is headed to the Mascot Hall of Fame.  Yes, the Hall is a real thing that the men and women who play these characters take it seriously.

I spoke with the original Phillie Phanatic, David Raymond who started the Hall of Fame.  We talked about Sluggerrr’s hot dog shooting incident and his bachelor party escapades.  Plus the Phanatic talks about Mr. Met who flipped the bird to fans, and how Tommy LaSorda nearly ripped his head off!

Plus, my college football picks of the week as I look to improve my 18-12 record.
