Last year’s NFL rushing champion Zeke Elliott gained 93 yards, ending a streak of three straight 100-yard games, but his two-yard touchdown put the Cowboys back on top for good for a 28-17 win over the Chiefs in Arlington, Texas.

Kareem Hunt entered the game as the NFL rushing leader, but Dallas limited him to 37 yards on nine carries.  Alex Smith threw for two touchdowns, but he also had his first interception of the year, coming late in the game.  Tyreek Hill scored on a 56-yard catch-and-run on the last play of the half.  Chiefs players were calling it a “Hill Mary” instead of a “Hail Mary.”

Travis Kelce had a TD reception in the third quarter and celebrated with a fake potato sack race.

In the end, The Chiefs dropped like a sack of potatoes.  Kansas City has lost three of four to drop to 6-3 going into a bye week.

Dak Prescott hooked up with Cole Beasley on a pair of touchdown passes and rushed for a score as Dallas won its third straight game.

Chiefs veteran defensive lineman Allen Bailey suffered a knee ligament sprain and left in the third quarter.  Bailey will be evaluated further on the extent of the injury in Kansas City.
