Cardinals president John Mozeliak didn’t hide his feelings when talking about finding a new pitching coach. He basically made Derek Lilliquist out to be an outdated has-been coach who wouldn’t adapt to the times of using data to coach and teach pitchers.
Many feel Lilliquist wasn’t the problem…they think the change needs to be made from Mike Matheny, who after six years on the job, reminds fans he’s still learning.
