Mizzou Volleyball picked up the No. 15 national seed and will host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, Dec. 1 and Friday, Dec. 2. at the Hearnes Center.  The Tigers first opponent will be Northern Illinois.  With a victory the Tigers will advance against the winner of Purdue and Iowa State.

The Tigers first match is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. (CT). Purdue and Iowa State will start at 4:30 p.m. (CT).  Thursday evening’s pair of winners will meet on Friday at 6 p.m. (CT) for the chance to move onto the Sweet 16.

Mizzou’s 2016 NCAA Tournament appearance marks its 13th trip to postseason play since 2000. The Tigers have made the NCAA Tournament in each of the past two years, as they reached the second round in 2015.  The last trip in 2013 ended at Hearnes Center in the second round of the tournament at the hands of Purdue, who gave Mizzou their first and only loss that season.

Mizzou went 25-5 this season with a 16-2 mark in SEC play. On Saturday, the Tigers clinched their second SEC Championship in the past four seasons.
