After the Royals won the World Series in 2015, the club wore an alternate jersey and cap to commemorate the club’s first World Series Championship in 30 years.  While I’m in the minority over this one, an overwhelming response from fans has pushed the club to bring back a revised gold-trimmed jersey and cap that will be worn for Friday home games in 2017.

The front of the home white jerseys will feature a blue ‘Royals’ script trimmed in gold thread and gold numerals trimmed in blue.  The back of the jerseys will have each player’s name in blue and trimmed in gold with the numerals embossed in gold with blue thread.  The special royal blue caps will feature a gold ‘KC’ on the front and gold button on top.

The Royals will debut the jerseys and caps on Friday, April 14 when they host the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.  First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
