Foles throws two TDs after Smith leaves with concussion. Chiefs also lose RB Ware

October 30, 2016 By Bill Pollock

Backup QB Nick Foles went 16 for 22 for 223 yards and two touchdowns in relief of Alex Smith to help lead the Chiefs to a 30-14 over the Indianapolis Colts.

The Chiefs defense forced two turnovers and sacked Andrew Luck six times, holding the Colts to 277 yards.

Kansas City left the game with two big question marks at their skill positions.

Both Smith and running back Spencer Ware left the game due to concussions.  Smith was out in the first quarter and returned in the first half after being cleared.  However, Smith hit the turf at the end of a run in the third quarter and never returned.

Ware played the first half and missed the second and without injured running back Jamaal Charles, the Chiefs turned to Charcandrick West who had 52 yards on 14 carries.
