The Blues and Washington Capitals played an exhibition game last night at Sprint Center in Kansas City with former Blue T.J. Oshie scoring two goals the Capitals won 4-2. The attendance was 11,781 fans. That number is expected to be much higher than when the NBA game between the Miami Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves takes place there on Saturday.

Christian Thomas, the son of Blues assistant coach Steve Thomas scored their other two goals for Washington.  Vladimir Tarasenko scored in his first game with the Blues since the World Cup. Dmitrij Jaskin scored the other goal. Alex Steen coming off shoulder surgery played in his first game. He was matched up against Oshie.  Steen said he was ready to come back.
