I saw an interesting stat line tweeted out by Shawn Davis of the Mizzou athletic department. The Tigers have nine players with a receiving touchdown, tied with four other schools for the most. The last time Mizzou had nine different players catching touchdown passes…’07 and ’13…years they won division titles.

Barry Odom showed up to the SEC Media teleconference on the team’s bye week.  Listen to his comments as the team works through issues following the loss to LSU

Wide receiver Nate Brown had a surgery on a high ankle speed.  He started running in straight lines last week.  They will continue to evaluate, and the question for Odom is can he still add value this year? Odom counts him out for at least the next two games.

Wide receiver Jonathon Johnson also has an ankle sprain that he re-injured on the final kickoff of the LSU game. He’ll be limited this week in practice, but Odom expects him to be ready to go for Florida.

Defensively, Odom points to not only poor tackling, but poor assignment recognition.

On grading his defensive line, Odom says they’ve done some good things but they haven’t played to their potential. He likes his line and isn’t frustrated with them at this point. Odom does not make any excuses for the dismissal to players Walter Brady and Harold Brantley.
