Seven Blues will represent their countries with the 2016 World Cup of Hockey begins on Sept. 17 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

Blues forwards Vladimir Tarasenko (Team Russia), Alexander Steen (Team Sweden) and Jori Lehtera(Team Finland) were named to the initial club rosters back in February.

Back in May, Dmitrij Jaskin (Team Czech Republic) and defensemen Alex Pietrangelo (Team Canada) and Colton Parayko (Team North America) were added to their nation’s teams.

Former Blues captain David Backes, now with Boston, will play on the Team USA roster

The 2016 World Cup of Hockey is an eight-team tournament which runs Sept. 17 through Oct. 1. Games will be televised on ESPN.
