Saying that he had been waiting for an offer from Mizzou since his freshman year, East St. Louis High School quarterback Reyondous Estes has given a verbal commitment to the Tigers, after previously committing to Western Michigan.

Estes gives Missouri 12 commits for the 2017 season.

“It was a hard situation to do because of Western Michigan and their coaching staff,” Estes told the Belleville News-Democrat. “I talked it over with my mom and my coaching staff and made a final decision.  It was something that I felt like would benefit me. (The Missouri offer) was something I was waiting on since my freshman year and it finally came, so I went forward with it.”

Estes threw for 789 yards and 11 touchdowns in only five games last season.  He led the Flyers with 405 rushing yards and five TDs.  A teacher’s strike wiped out the rest of their season, ending a chance at the playoffs.

East St. Louis funnels another one of their talented prospects to Mizzou including sophomore defensive tackle Terry Beckner Jr.,  sophomore safety Greg Taylor, sophomore running back Nate Strong and freshman offensive lineman Tre’Vour Simms.
