In March, State Representative Shamed Dogan (R-Ballwin) said he’d vote third party if Donald Trump was the Republican nominee. Dogan’s position doesn’t appear to have wavered. Dogan’s not impressed with Trump’s foreign policy positions.

“I think it’s been really disturbing to see him having this cozy relationship with Vladimir Putin and almost encouraging Russians to commit espionage. The situation with gold star families. Attacking gold star families is the kind of stuff you would expect a liberal candidate to be doing. I would expect to be denouncing the Democratic candidate for being weak on military issues and not respecting military families, not the Republican nominee,” says Dogan.

Dogan wants Trump to show responsibility and more conservative values.

“He’s the first Republican presidential nominee not to talk about the pro-life issue in his convention speech. That issue is one of the main issues I’m a Republican,” says Dogan.

In March, Dogan, who’s African-American, said Trump refused to denounce the Ku Klux Klan and has quoted fascist leader Benito Mussolini.
