Scott Schebler was just called up to the Reds on Tuesday to take Jay Bruce’s spot on the roster.

His three-run homer off Seung Hwan Oh in the bottom of the ninth beat the Cardinals 7-5.

Neither bullpen could hold a lead.

The Cardinals took a 3-2 lead into the top of the seventh on Jedd Gyorko’s solo home run off of Ross Ohlendorf and the Reds took it right back in the seventh with Duvall’s two-run shot off of Kevin Siegrist in the bottom half of the inning to make it 4-3 Reds.

Siegrist has entered in the sixth with the bases loaded and struck out Billy Hamilton to save Zach Duke who was ineffective in his debut.

Duke allowed a base hit and two walks to load the bases with two outs before manager Mike Matheny double-switched Kevin Siegrist into the game.
Blake Wood, who had allowed just one home run all season, gave up two to in the eighth, first-pitch homers to Brandon Moss and pinch-hitter Tommy Pham.

That set a franchise record with 11 pinch hit homers this seasons.
