Kinder is making a gubernatorial run, so the Lieutenant Governor position is open in November. Kinder, who’s from Cape Girardeau, is finishing his third term.

Three Republicans are seeking the GOP nomination: attorney Bev Randles, State Senator Mike Parson of Bolivar and Arnie Dienoff.

There are also three Democrats seeking their party’s nomination on Tuesday: former U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan of St. Louis, St. Louis State Rep. Tommie Pierson Sr. and Winston Apple.

Missouri polls are open on Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
