Albert Pujols
Royals starter Ian Kennedy was struck with four, first inning runs as the Los Angeles Angels picked up a 6-2 win in the series opener, Monday night at Kauffman Stadium.
Former Cardinal Albert Pujols singled home two and scored a run in that big first.
Kennedy gave up a leadoff single to Yunel Escobar and back-to-back walks to Kole Calhoun and Mike Trout, before Pujols delivered a two-run single to center field. Daniel Nava followed with a deep sac fly and Carlos Perez singled in Pujols.
The Angels scored again in the seventh and ninth, on run-scoring singles from Pujols, who finished with four RBIs, attended high school and junior college in the Kansas City area.
