The Cardinals hit four home runs on Wednesday and three of them by former Padre Jedd Gyorko, as St. Louis swept San Diego 4-2 and 3-2.

San Diego signed Gyorko to a $35 million, and he did not live up to expectations.

Over his last two seasons with the Padres, he was just a .229 hitter–their version of Kolten Wong.

The traded him to the Cardinals where Gyorko has now stepped in for the injured Jhonny Peralta.

Gyorko has homered in five straight games against the Padres and gone 13-for-20 against them this season.
