“The next President of the United States is going to pick two to four Supreme Court justices, and they’re going to set the fabric of this country for the next 40 years,” says U.S. Rep. Billy Long (R-Springfield).

Long spoke in Cleveland Wednesday at the Missouri delegation breakfast. He says businessman Donald Trump will nominate constitutional conservatives to the U.S. Supreme Court. Long expresses concerns if Democrat Hillary Clinton wins in November:

“You pick some Supreme Court justices in their 40s that are going to be there until there 80s … and the Supreme Court swings two to seven liberal, three to six liberal, four to five liberal, it’s going to be bad for this country,” says Long.

Long, whose fast-growing district includes Springfield and Branson, says Trump’s message is popular with his constituents.

Long also praises Trump’s choice of Indiana Governor Mike Pence as his running mate.

The GOP convention continues through Thursday.
