A power surge of four home runs was not enough as the St. Louis Cardinals dropped the opener of a series at Busch Stadium with Miami 7-6 on Friday night.

Tommy Pham lead the way with two of the Cardinals’ four homers and drove in four runs. Randal Grichuk and Stephen Piscotty also went deep for St. Louis. The Cardinals were ultimetly hurt by making three defensive miscues.

Seung Hwan Oh lost on his 34th birthday.

The Cardinals had and lost leads of 4-1 and 6-5 to fall to 19-27 at home.
