A five run seventh inning doomed the Kansas Ciry Royals in a 6-2 loss on the road in Toronto on Monday.

Kendrys Morales would continue his hot stretch clubbing his 15th homer of the season. Eric Hosmer would also go deep for the Royals, his 13th of the season. But the KC offense would account for just two other hits on the night.

Edison Volquez allowed four earned over six-plus innings to take his eighth loss of the year.

Aaron Sanchez picked up the win allowing just one run on three hits over eight innings of work.

The Royals have now lost two in a row and three of their last four.
