Officials from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and Bass Pro Shops will unveil the 2016-17 Federal Duck Stamp and Junior Duck Stamp artwork at Bass Pro Shops in Springfield on Friday at 10 a.m. The first stamp of the year will also be sold at the event.

Since 1934 sales from the Federal Duck Stamp have played an important role in wildlife conservation, raising over $800 million to acquire, protect and maintain more than six million acres of wetlands on national wildlife refuges in the United States and U.S. territories.

Waterfowl hunters are required to buy a Federal Duck Stamp each year.
