June 22, 2016 By Bill Pollock

Asdrubal Cabrera hit a two-run homer off Danny Duffy in the fifth and Matt Reynolds hit the eventual game winning homer of Joakim Soria in the sixth inning as the Mets swept the Royals with a 4-3 win on Wednesday afternoon in New York.  The defending NL Champs took three out of four this year from the World Series champs.

Cheslor Cuthbert hit his 5th homer of the season in the fifth off Noah Syndergaard who allowed three runs in six innings.

Duffy lasted just 4.2 innings after throwing 103 pitches.  He allowed three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out eight.
