Young, Moustakas have big nights as the Royals knock off Baltimore

Chris Young picked up his first victory of the season as Mike Moustakas had another big night as and the Kansas City Royals beat the Baltimore Orioles 4-2 Friday night. Young struck out 10 over six innings of work to improve to 1-3. Moustakas homered, doubled twice and drove in three runs,.

Young recorded his sixth career double-figure strikeout game as he gave up two runs and four hits, including a sixth inning leadoff home run to Manny Machado.

Wade Davis pitched a spotless ninth to log his seventh save in as many chances.

Moustakas hit his sixth home run on Gallardo’s second pitch with Alcides Escobar aboard. Moustakas had a two-out, RBI double in the second off Gallardo.
