The state House has rejected a limited legalization of medical marijuana.

Missouri House voting feat 05-13-2015The chamber earlier this week gave initial approval to the measure, which would have legalized the use of marijuana only by those in hospice care for terminal cancer. It was a reining in of an earlier, broader version of the bill that would have legalized marijuana use by patients being treated for several specified conditions.

Several lawmakers changed their minds on Thursday’s vote to defeat the proposal, after the vote Tuesday to adopt it.
