The lone blemish on Martinez’ line was a solo homer to Rizzo in the fourth.  Randall Grichuk helped out Martinez in the first, robbing Rizzo of an extra base hit and RBI in the first with a great grab along the wall in left center.

The Cubs scored a couple of runs in the 8th once played resumed to make it a 4-3 game.

The Cardinals added an insurance run and Trevor Rosenthal got the save after a near three and a half hour rain delay.
