Add another guard to the Missouri basketball recruiting class as 6-3 point guard Jordan Geist committed to Missouri on Friday. Geist, a second-team junior college All-American, played at Ranger College in Ranger, Texas, committed to Mizzou during his official visit.

Geist averaged 15.1 points and 2.8 assists for Ranger College this season, shot 45.6 percent, 35.3 percent from 3-point range and 75.2 percent from the foul line. Geist helped lead Ranger to the National Junior College Athletic Association national semifinals and a 31-7 record. He earned second-team NJCAA All-American honors.

Geist will have three years of eligibility at Mizzou and is the fifth member of Mizzou’s 2016 recruiting class and the second commitment this week along with Frankie Hughes, a 6-4 high school guard Garfield Heights, Ohio.
