15th ranked Missouri State baseball already had an 8-0 lead when the Bears eight more in the eighth to cruise to a 16-1 victory over Missouri Tuesday at Hammons Field in Springfield.

MSU has scored 49 runs in its last three home games. The 15-run victory surpassed MSU’s 20-10 win in Columbia on April 16, 2002.

It was the largest victory ever for either team in this in-state rivalry and the fourth in a row for MSU over Mizzou.

Matt Fultz and Aaron Meyer paced the MSU attack, combining to go 5-for-6 with six runs scored and four runs batted-in. Jake Burger hit his 14th homer of the season.
