Royals MVP and Gold Glove catcher Salvador Perez likes to talk a big game.  The man also knows how to walk-the-walk.  Or in this case, sprint.

Salvy hit an RBI triple in the eighth inning, then scored on Omar Infante’s sacrifice fly as the Royals rallied to beat the winless Minnesota Twins 4-3 Friday night.

Ned Yost isn’t going to doubt what Salvy says anymore.  After the game, Yost was talking about how Salvy is always bragging inside the batting cage.

“In batting practice, every time he hits the ball in the gap, he says, `Triple! Triple!” Yost said. “I always thought that was a little farfetched.”

Salvy gapped it, after prized left fielder Eddie Rosario, a defensive replacement in the eighth, missed as he dove for the sinking liner.  The relay throw got away from third basemen, otherwise it would have been a close play at third.
