The Mizzou women’s basketball team has 21 wins and finished 8-8 in conference play.  They should get a spot in the NCAA Tournament, but the Tigers are limping in after their lackluster 47-45 loss to Auburn in the opening game of the second round of the SEC Tournament in Jacksonville, FL.  The Tigers shot just 35% and turned the ball over 20 times.

The Tigers trailed by one at the end of the third quarter despite going scoreless for 7:19.  The Tigers also missed six of their last seven shots including a layup from Cierra Porter with less than two seconds left that would have sent the game into overtime.  Porter finished 0-for-6 for the game.  She and SEC Freshman of the Year, Sophie Cunningham, combined to shoot 1-of-11 for the game.

Senior Morgan Stock led the Tigers with 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting including 5-of-10 from three-point range.
