A record 82 schools competed in the girls swimming and diving championships this weekend in St. Peters with 56 divers (also a record),  competing.  48 of the schools scored points in the team standings and as Jason West of MSHSAA points out, competition in the sport is growing and spreading throughout the state.

In addition, there were four new state records set:

Event 6 Girls 100 Yard Butterfly

In wrestling, the championships started with 21 undefeated wrestlers and finished with 13.  Jason shares stories of one wrestler being disqualified, another overcoming the loss of a brother to win a championship and the great sight of sportsmanship shown by competitors and fans.  Plus, what exactly happened with the fire inside Mizzou Arena?

We get the scoop on this week’s hangout with MSHSAA.
